Steve James, owner, taught drafting at the high school and university level for fifteen years. He has built custom homes and worked on commercial projects. With this background he has the knowledge of building construction and understands the practical applications.

In 1986 he was able to purchase this existing blueprint and design business (Est. 1958), enabling him to combine his knowledge of home construction and his love of home design to produce the best workable and precise house plans for today's market.

Steve is a professional member of the American Institute of Building Design at their highest level, Certified Professional Building Designer. And has served as Secretary, the Vice President and then President of the Tennessee Society of AIBD. At James & Associates we have helped thousands of families turn their dream house into reality. We have designed homes ranging from 800 sq. ft. to over 20,000 sq. ft.
